So, we have sensor pixel bucket. And it has a filter on it so it collects only "red" wave length photons. The noise is square root of number of photons collected. Does that mean that different red pixel buckets are collecting -different number- of red photons? (Given same exposure etc). Thus each red pixel bucket, as it is processed by electronics, appears different to our eyes? This we call noise? Where did I make a "wrong turn" here?
