This is beautiful Gail. I love that BG colour which shows the owl perfectly. Excellent detail on the bird and that stare...Wow.. The perch 'fits' the bird nicely. Also love your chosen crop...Print Big. Great work.

Gail - another beautiful shot of this bird. My heart would have been racing seeing this in the wild. I love the eye contact and it really looks comfortable in your presence. Nice perch and I like the crop.

Oh! When all is just right, the background is that color, and a beauty such as this looking at you... I'd want to stay for days with these cooperative owls. Love the defused light and perch.

I like how the perch runs through the frame, eye contact, eye clarity, IQ and composition. What a treat that must have been. How many images did you end up taking in 8 hours? Excellent image Gail!

Looks great. This one is fluffier than the last one you posted. Love those eyes.

Gail
What a puff ball! Very cute, well captured, composed, processed.
The colors of the perch, and the small white dots on it, work great with the birds plumage.
Time well invested.
Cheers

As good as it gets Gail. I'm so happy for you. This is perfect in every way. Details, that stare, the perch and the beautiful composition that is balanced amazingly by that branch on the right. I told you in detail my frustration with this species but this shot almost makes up for me being skunked so badly.

Even better than the last IMHO Gail, very nice work. I thought at first you'd got a halo around the head until I realised they were all the tiny white feathers!

Wow, Again! Didn't see this one till now. Was about to shut down and go to bed cause I thought this was the same one I commented on but you posted two in a row.
I like the other one a lot but I think I like this one better! The stare, details, perch and BG are all outstanding. The only tiny thing that could make this even better, and I tried it, is to dodge the right eye at about 35% and the area around it. Doesn't look unnatural at all and both eyes almost look the same. You killed these little guys in BC. So happy for you.
