Sanjeev:
The soft backlighting worked well here, nicely exposed, good separation visually from the background, harmonious colors, good pose, and effective comp.
Cheers

Hi Sanjeev ,nice handling of backlight . Like the overall colors , contrast and tones.
Nicely processed , transfer this to your wildlife images .The green grass is a nice break in the more brown/reddish colors.

The backlighting worked well here. Good low angle, alert pose, details. I like the ever so slightly ajar bill. If mine I'd tone down the brighter spot touching the belly - nothing that a low opacity clone brush can't do.

Hi Sanjeev, not sure what's happened and what you have changed, but you really are producing some excellent images now, can't add much more to what has been said above.

Thanks everyone, Steve I have changed & learnt a few things. Firstly, I have started working in layers and following your sharpening tips of 100/.3/0 in USM, secondly, thanks to BPN community, I have been really taking care while shooting, checking the SS, Aperture, ISO and shooting conditions, angles, distracting objects etc. lastly, I have started minor cloning to remove distracting objects in images without altering the image much. Great place this forum! Cheers to all!

Great, just be careful of that first sharpening figure, it needs to vary, glad to hear it's all working out, and even better you are using layers.

Hi Sanjeev. Great look at this iconic bird. Nicely exposed with the tricky backlighting. Nice detail, and sharpening here looks just right to me. (I often start with 100/0.3/0, and sometimes add a second pass with 100/0.2/0, or sometimes just use the latter setting by itself. It's a good place to start, with some variation up or down, IMO.)

Hi Sanjeev, lovely pose from this Hoopoe, and the colours look spot on. The like the tufts of grass in the BG too.
