This is wild bird that I photographed through a slat in a wooden dock (background is water). As soon as I saw the scene,
I knew I could have some fun with the crop. I was nearly at the MFD of this lens when this was captured; hence f/11.

Processed in Lightroom with standard sliders. I did remove
a distracting second catchlight in the eye.
Hi Dorian, great HA, and the light has brought out the blue iridescence on his head nicely. Great eye. I could see a version with a little more of him looking into the frame.
At first i did not like the crop. But after looking at this a few times i like it. Nice detail on the bird. The blue background contrast well with the bird.
