The image is sharp and detailed with a bright clear eye. The bg works to show off the bright colors of the Sunbird. I am finding the large colorful perch slightly distracting with the reds at the top a bit over saturated. I have never seen one before so tfs.

Amazing colors, nice color harmony between the red plant and the birds eye.
I agree with John about the plant being a bit overpowering, but still an effective image because the bird is so well lit, and detailed.
The brightest reds I could find were around 230, but you certainly could tweak the brightness and saturation to taste to reduce the impact of the plant just a bit.

Thank you for your constructive feedback. After reading your and John's comment, I do clearly see now that I did not go far enough in reducing luminosity and saturation of reds. I also am not using histogram values, but your comment has sensitised me to that more objective tool. Thanks for that. Cheers!
