This is my first post as a new member, and it is an image taken in june 2005 in Gaspe, Quebec Canada. I actually found the roll of film in my freezer a few weeks ago and just had it processed! I was quite pleased to find what I thought was a successful image. The negative space at the top was made purposely with thoughts of a magazine cover in mind.
Very nice image, Gary and welcome to the forum! I like the composition, interaction and OOF birds. Exposure and details look good, too. You can post larger images. That way it's easier to make comments and please post some techs.
I agree with Jim's suggestion on cloning the "blob". This image is outstanding. Creative composition and pose and the BG is perfect for poping out the birds.
I appreciate all comments, as that is how we all get better....so no prob on any critique given.
The image was made with a Canon EOS3, 300 F4L IS lens, Manfrotto tripod, and Fuji Provia 100F film pulled 1 stop, due to the harsh light when it was made.
I should have removed the blob, but still have purist blood in my veins being a recent convert to digital.
The image was sized to 136 Kb, as I thought the limit was 150Kb. I am new to the site and posting process, so I hope to have all the kinks worked out shortly.
Thanks for the great comments, and big welcome...we are lucky to have a forum like this, with so many great shooters and images.
