Hi Will ... great timing on this one !!
Really like the pose and the perfectly stretched body .
Details and sharpness looking good to me and the colors are nice in the subject .
I would prefer a bit more boosted colors in the perch/moss and BG .... but you were there .
Very nice work and TFS Andreas

Great minds Will....
Nice and sharp with detail, note the bill is already slightly open, for the catch????? The single colour adds good separation, but would like a bit of tone in there, just to breakup the overall solid colour up, it's like a roll of Colourama placed behind the image. You could as Andreas suggest just boost the blues & oranges up a wee bit, but watch you masking around the head and around the moss.

Love the pose and great timing! I only wish the perch was also sharp and wondering if f/8 might have got you there? I think you had plenty of room to move your ISO up and keep your SS high enough. Still great image!

Blue bullet! That's some great action, Will. Colors are fantastic, and I'm fine with the uniform BG. More DOF woulda helped to keep the perch in focus. Also, the lower back looks sharper than the face? Is that a focal point issue or a motion-blur issue?

Nice capture Wil... as Dorian wrote a speeding blue bullet. Beautiful colors on the bird, nice perch and the intense stare of the bird is priceless. Nice image, thank you for sharing.

Oh man, quite a cool frame! Just a bit of motion blur visible on the eye - wondering if Topaz sharpening could be of use here for that. Great colours, diving pose. I'm thinking that you are pretty happy with this one eh!

Will, just a thought, next time, if it was ON, take eye detection OFF.

At the speed they go will just get the bird sharp, the shot you saw of mine didn't have ED on, but the head/bill is pin sharp, just try it.
