Maybe, maybe not, but it sure was in a great spot in that gnarly old broken tree remnant. I had seen it a couple of weeks prior, and although the nest was pretty cool, the surrounding bare twigs were not. Fast forward a couple of weeks with the leaves coming out, and it gave the scene a whole new life...plus a bonus gosling giving its parents an approval of its digs.
Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/200s., f/4, ISO 3200, natural light, handheld, FF, a few twigs removed, including a couple of them behind the standing adult's head. A couple of white specks spot-removed on the stump.
