I captured this image of a Sanderling probing the sand at Ft. Desoto County Park in Pinellas County, Florida. When I first arrived at the north beach I found a nice sandy patch to sit on. As I sat the Sanderling and a Ruddy Turnstone sauntered up sometimes to close to photograph. I had to remove the 1.4 Teleconverter to fit them in the frame.
