Really like the low angle and the color of the BG is great! Could it be sharper...perhaps a tad on the head mostly beak, but overall the sharpness still looks acceptable to my eyes.

Yes I think detail is there it just needs to be brought out a little more, composition and colours look very good.

Awesome low angle. I'm a shorebird specialist but not captured any images of this species; I'm envious. Sharpness is passable, but I'd love to see the feathers and legs crisper. That would make this a real stunner.

Thank you for the feedback guys! I took another crack it with increased sharpness. Hope I didn't go too far in the other direction.

Sorry, it's the image at the bottom. I can't figure out how to get rid of the top image (wrong upload).

Fixed the repost for you. Yes it does look sharper.
Great low angle and the warm light is rather appealing. I like the dirt on the bill giving us a hint at it having probed for food. Some may miss the feet - perhaps getting up an inch or two higher may have revealed them - but I am OK with it as is.

Hi Andreas,
Thank you for your edit. Topaz did similar thing for me and I pulled back the sharpening as it seemed too far from the original. But perhaps I pulled back too much!
I do like the added mid tones. They make the bird stand out more. That was a great call! Thank you!

No problem Sharif ... adding output sharpness is just perceptual , I just used the low res OP .... which is for sure not ideal . I was also thinking I went a smidge too far . If this would be one sharpening layer ( which was not ) ... I would reduce it by 30 % , with hindsight !!
Always good to exchange thoughts
Have a nice day
