    This adult loon was captured last month, as he cruised the lake with his freshly hatched chicks. Rather an intimidating stare.

    D850. 600/4. f/10 ISO 720 1/500s

    Post: Cropped from horizontal, LR CC and PS 2021

    Normally don't use such a small f/stop, but was trying to keep the family in focus when this pose developed.

    I liked the red reflection of his right iris in the drop on the right cheek.

    Advice and comments always appreciated.
