Just east of Atlanta is a small county park called Arabia Mountain - part of the Arabia Mountain Heritage Area. The main features are granite monadnocks - big knobs of exposed granite similar to Stone Mountain - but 100 million years older. It's known for a number of uncommon and rare or listed

This particular area gets wonderful early morning light. In this case I was testing my Nikon Z7II with the 14-30 f/4 lens. My aperture was f/20 to create the sunstar. My original image was at ISO 64, but underexposed to protect from blown out areas around the sun. Then the exposure was lifted 4.3 stops in post, plus shadows had additional brightening while highlights were protected. It's unconventional processing, but worked okay for this image.
