Beautiful top view with great HA and every feather showing in wings and tail. Nice framing and love the water as well. TFS

Lovely shot Kurt, I like the pose and the overall palette but I would see if there would be benefit in lifting the eye a little - it is well focused and attracts attention yet there is little detail/to see in the eye(??). The disturbances in the water, I like otherwise the background would become too "perfect" for me.

This bird is in winter plumage; hence no black belly! Great action pose, but I think the face could use a bit more sharpening. The reflected catchlight should also go.
Water behind is really pretty, and I might clean up a few of the irregularities on it - like the dark swoosh in front of the end of left/lower wing.
I do find myself wishing for warmer light, but its still a really nice image.

I pretty much agree with Dorian on his critique. Very appealing blues, and I love the wingspread.

Well done .It is great wing position to catch this bird. Light perfect .Sea the same .An Andrew Darby has just produced a lovely book about Black bellied plover ,called here 'Grey Plover, and its epic annual journeys from the Arctic to the Shores of Southern Australia and back. The book is called' Flight Lines' for those interested
Your photo Kurt is good enough to the cover of his next one. Sadly we never see the male bird with his colours up.

Wonderful flight pose and composition. Love the fanned tail. Ditto the points made by Dorian re. touch of sharpening and removal of the second catchlight. Otherwise a fine frame. Not easy to catch these speedy guys in flight, especially with such a perfect pose.

Kurt, nice grab here.
Beautiful flight pose. Great comments above and I agree in maybe cleaning up the water a bit. Also wonder if playing with a touch of warmth could benefit it at all.
Well done!
