Very nice Jon....I know some will say a thinner perch, but I like the growth on the perch here...Colours on the bird look good...BG colours work well with the bird and perch. Am I seeing slight motion blur on the birds neck and head area.

What a beautiful bird, and well captured, Jonathan. Great overcast light, and slightly tilted head turn as he looks at you. Like the perch with moss, fungus, lichen, and more vegetation. Lovely background as well.

Hey Jon, great to have a Bullfinch in the garden, they are such an awesome bird with their simple colours and stocky body.
I don't mind the log, but I think we are going in the opposite direction on the Tint value. Also, what has caused what appears to be noise in the tail feathers, blacks also look a bit thin in the head, but it could just be the MBP? I can see a Curves Midtone for a tad more oomph. If you have it, then a bit more to the right and less above could be an alternative, you'll see what I mean.

hi Jon, terrifi head cock pose and super nice perch. Love the colors here and fine feather detail on the bird. Are they regulars? really enjoyed this one.

Neat looking little bird. I like that thick bill. The perch is great with all that lichen. The background color is very nice.

Jon, for me one of the better you've posted in a while.
Colors look richer and love the head angle of subject as well as the lichen on the perch. Nice touches.
Background also is very pretty!

That's a lot better Jon IMHO and as you know where I was going on the tweaks, but it's the subtleties that make the bigger difference, but hey what do I know. The tail looks correct/natural now especially with no cast in it, but I still think a tad off the top.
WDYT overall with the look?
Cheers

I think it looks better Steve, I also think PSCC was being a little bit naughty over the last couple of days with the recent upgrade, it would seem to have been switching back and forth between Adobe RGB and Prophoto RGB, workspaces and presets were up the creek too....but I have fixed it now - I hope.

Not sure how much you might have noticed between ProPhoto & Adobe RGB, but glad to know you are back on the straight and narrow and that my eyes on colour haven't left me. You know where I am if you need me.

A lovely image of the Bullfinch Jon, though the perch is a bit dominating, I like the texture on it. Good pose and BG. RP is even better.
