I travelled North at the weekend to Cairngorm to photograph Ospreys. The owner of the place I went to, has stocked lots of rainbow trout in a smallish lochan, which has attracted Ospreys from the surrounding area. The hide is sunk into the ground which gives quite a good POV. I went into the hide at 4.30am during the hours of darkness, as soon as the sun showed the Ospreys started feeding. I got four dives by different birds, the only problem was being in a sunken hide the birds showed at the last second, before they struck the fish. So I had to be aware all the time and get locked on focus quickly. I managed this and got lots of different frames, which I was more than happy with.
