I do like the wing position and three-quarter view on this one. Also good positioning in the frame and just the right amount of space around the bird. From your results early in the piece, I think you’re in for a good future with your new gear!

Hi David. Thanks so much for the feedback. It took me a long time to decide on the gear, and yes, so far I'm very happy with my choice. Hopefully one day soon I'll be able to travel again to Tasmania and photograph your birds. Take care.

Good looking image, Paul! Exposure and detail look great, an the blue eye is great. Yeah, the overhead angle is tough, but I think you made the best possible image you could given that limitation. Nicely done.
