I like the bird, nice light. nice head turn. the BG is distracting, in particular the oof brown object (trunk?) and I also find the man-made perch distracting. try to get him in a better settings next time

David, another great one. Much better HA here!
Before I read your comments I could tell you did some bkg cloning just to the left of the back feathers. Could touch that a bit.
Also, it looks like you have a masking issue around the head and just below the chin, on the bird. I can see a touch under belly too and the bird's left knee joint. Horizontal line as perhaps a cloning remnant about half way down from butt and the rock.
That bright spot mid way along the top of rock is still present. Also can't help but wonder what a true 4x5 or even 5x7 would look like so you can trim some rock off the bottom without creating more room above the head.
Colors and sat look nice to my eyes :-)

Another beauty with those nice feathers. Framing looks right on to me. I like the light as well. Nice and sharp.

Cool subject with a great eye and beautiful plumage! I agree with the above - the processing needs some fine-tuning to rid of the evidence.

Thanks to all eagle eyed helpers. Gotta practice more patience and diligence in my cloning skills. Please keep those valued and helpful comments coming.

Super sharp with cracking detail from beak to feet! The ruffled feathers also add some nice texture. Curious look with eye contact is excellent. The perch isn't perfect, but I think it's more than passable.
Biggest issue I have is the awkward crop. The frame is cramped at both left and right. I'd try a standard landscape if there isn't too much distraction brought into the frame at left and right.

Great bird and a nice head angle. Love the ruffled feathers. Are you coming to Ft. Myers this year?

Is Bunche/Ft Myers/Sanibel Captiva open or has it been re-closed due to new covid surge. If so, you bet I'm coming.... Would love to meet up with my favorite "Big Red" wrangler.

Your recent post is contest material IMHO
