    Default Common Merganser and flounder

My first posted 1 DX3 image. So far I am very happy with improved AF and the FPS rate is crazy good with unlimited buffer thanks to the CF express cards. I can shoot 1000 RAW images before the buffer fills up (not that I would ever have a reason to do so!). Still early days but so far, so good.
My favorite winter open water area had been frozen over until 3 days ago. Within 5 minutes of setting up and getting under my quik camo sheet, this little lady caught a flounder and hoped up onto the ice to eat it directly in front of me!
    Cloudy day.
    This is almost 80% FF.
Nothing added or cloned but I did dodge a faint line in the BG that ran across the image. Increased exposure by half a stop.
ISO 800 (should have been at ISO 1600 because of dark gloomy day) SS 1/2000 F 6.3
    Canon 1 DX3
    600mm v.3
Comments and critiques always appreciated and learned from with thanks,
    Gail
