Back in 2017 I posted a small-in-frame version of this image, with the immature female Peregrine small against a vegetated sand dune at Sandy Hook. Weeding through old files I decided to reprocess the image and experiment with how large a crop it might take. I know this isn't perfect, and certainly shows some signs of a large crop, but I thought it held up pretty well since this is just 10% of the original by pixel count. There appears to be some motion blur of the mantle, maybe from the speedy bird's aerodynamic form as the wind blew over the back of the bird. A faster shutter speed might have helped. Anyway, your thoughts are welcomed.
