I captured this image last year along Joe Overstreet Road in Kenansville, Florida. Some may wish the perch was not barbed wire, so do I, but in the pastures where the birds are there is only fence posts or barbed wire. I was at Joe Overstreet Road on Monday, the pair of Scissor-tailed Flycatchers are back. On Monday the birds did not come close enough for photography or in the right position relative to the light, but I will go back. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Hi Joe, I quite like the pose and look back and the wire, well it is what it is, the hair could go, but...
I just query the amount of blue, never seen this subject, but to me the blue is too much and dominating, would welcome your thoughts. I might take a sliver off the top.

Hi Steve, thank you for commenting. First time I photographed this bird. The color is described as a pearly gray, I see the blue you speak of. Head looks pale blue rather than gray. I edited the image reducing the blue saturation. Here is a repost. WDYT?
P.S. I am sure the hair is from a cow rubbing against the wire. I left it in the image but I could remove it.

It's certainly better Joe and more localised rather than Global IMHO.
BTW in LR Library set Copyright status to Copyrighted
Thanks Steve, will check the Copyright status. Not sure why it did that, any ideas? I just checked the EXIF and IPTC data, the copyright status Lightroom shows is Unknown but I do have a copyright message with my name and the year 2019.

Great bird, super background. Perfect head turn. Repost looks even better with the blues toned down. Although I wish for a natural perch, I'm still OK with the barbed wire, but it will look even better in a few years when rusted and weathered!
Nice looking bird and BG. The pose is great and the RP is very nice. I don't really mind the barbed wire since that is where they often hang out. Love how highlighted the tail is here. TFS
A nice capture, Joe, with great head turn, simple background. Repost addresses the blue which did seem a bit strong in the OP; might have taken it down even more, based on my very limited encounters with the species. Yes, they do seem to like barbed wire and telephone lines.
