Bill:
It tells the story well. Yes, overlaps aren't ideal, but you have captured the feel nicely. Like the ducks in the foreground, patchy nature of the mist.
I suspect one has to take a lot of images, plus be lucky to get an overlap free image in the scenario.
Cheers

Love the mood of these types of frames. That water really glows. I don't mind the overlaps here. Very nice.

Yeah, this sets a beautiful mood! I applaud the creative effort, overlaps or not. Never visited the Bosque, but this is a great advertisement!

Looks nice. I agree with the overlaps.
I would say worth another attempt.
Was this taken in the North loop or in Crane ponds ?

Love the mood. I don't mind the overlap much, since to me this shot is all about the setting and mist. Backlighting is great. Bosque is high on my list of places to go. TFS

Looks like birds on magma, I've seen images from this spot before like this I guess one has to go to witness, to those that haven't it looks unreal.
Very striking image though.

Well captured, Bill. Overlaps are fine, and the mist with this light is outstanding.

Gorgeous scene Bill, no problem with me reading the overlaps. I may be tempted to look at the yellows towards the right of the frame which have turned a little 'green'

Thanks Krishna. "Another attempt" is easier said than done, since Bosque is several thousand miles from where I am now. Maybe next year. This was shot standing maybe 250-300 yards northeast of the "Flight Deck".

Thank you all. I appreciate your comments. Mike, the greenish tint on the right bothered me, but I didn't know what caused it or how to fix it. I was shooting about as close to the sun as I could without burning either my camera or my eyes. Maybe I could give it just a little transparent orange wash in that area, if I can figure out how to do it.
