Titan triggerfish getting a makeover
This is a Titan Triggerfish at a cleaning station in a rocky cave. They go there and hover whilst the little cleaner shrimp that you can see in the picture pick off all the parasites and debris on the fish. Titans are strange fish - fiercely protective around their nest and often attack divers if you go near the nest, but very skittish otherwise. I got fairly close to 2 on this trip but still nowhere near as I could get to the creatures.
Tried going with one strobe a lot stronger than the other for a more dramatic effect here

What a fish! Like the open mouth and those colors. The cropping works well. Details look very nice.

Love the modelling with strobes makes it pop, nice one. This website could do with choosing a darker background or giving the poster that option.

Very nice capture of this Titan Triggerfish and I like the presence of the little shrimps too. Amazing how colourful the underwater world is, and the diversity of species!
Interesting pose from the subject and that open mouth with visible teeth looks quite threatening. Well framed and the lighting does contribute to a dramatic feel, good thinking Mike
Thank you so much for sharing,
Kind regards,
