This is amazing, Anthony! Love the positioning of the prey, great low angle, great sharpness, detail and orientation to your sensor-- just this side of parallel. You did fantastic PS work. Congrats!

Terrific shot! The bow wave indicates movement and the two eyes together are great. Pity about the gray along the top, maybe it could be subdued a bit, otherwise very successful PP.

WOW! The thumbnail does not do this image justice.
I was really pleased once I clicked on the thumbnail.
I love the low angle and the fact that the fish eye and cormorant eye are so perfectly lined up. The image puts me, as a viewer, right in the action.
DOF is excellent and everything is nice and sharp, from tip of fish tail to the back of bird. Amazing for being at F4.
IQ is excellent.
Very very well done,
Gail

As above, I love everything about this image. Head and fish angles are spot-on. I would not mind a bit more room below. The bow wave is killer.
Any crop?

Thanks Arthur! It’s a slight crop yeah, there was another cormorant chasing this one that was out of focus in the background so I cropped that out, this was probably like 80% of the original frame. I’ll play around with the crop a bit more, appreciate the feedback!

Fantastic image!! I love the eyes of both predator and prey, pretty cool. I do feel the cormorant's blacks could go a touch deeper, but man-o-man you did very well here. A memorable image....

Love how the eyes meet here. The wake in front of the bird is a nice touch. Low angle is spot on as well.

Anthony nice shot of the glutenous cormorant, I've seen these guys eat unbelievable amounts of trout.
Nice and sharp, good eye(s) contact and nice and low.
