I had a nice delicate perch setup for this fella outside of the frame, to the right, and had just turned on the audio to get it on it...but it staged itself for a few seconds on this tree knot before flying over the perch and onto a tree much further to the right. When that happened and I saw what you see here I took down the setup as I had just photographed a scene much better than anticipated! The warbler stayed long enough on the knot that after a couple of frames where I had cut off the bottom part of it, I had the time to lower the camera and include it all in.
