Beautiful, with golden light adding much to the image. Incredible clarity, great HA and wing position. Looks like the D5/lens combo is a sure winner! How are you finding Capture Pro 11 as opposed to DPP in terms of usability, features etc?

Hi Paul DPP is obviously only for Canon RAW files while Capture One Pro works with every camera and has a ton of features that no other software has. What is incredible about C1P is the speed of processing, it can render a 45 mega pixel D850 file almost instantaneously on my system and crunch through thousands of huge RAW files like a breeze.

Definitely the right choice to include the habitat in the frame (IMHO of course!). Nothing wrong with the clean BGs of course, but inclusion of the environment often adds an extra layer of interest.
Love to see the wing span and the fanned tail, gorgeous light.

Thanks Artie, like the crop, My original dilemma was what to do with the shadow on the ground?...Figured if I leave it all in might give a more sense of depth to the image but I think I like your crop better too
