And a pair of lionesses and their 3 very adventurous cubs spend the late golden hour high up this tree.
It's not often one sees such adventurous young lion cubs this high up, they were barely 4 months old.
I had a wonderful afternoon with this pride, taking advantage of a beautiful golden hour opportunity, and have numerous frames of this pride in various tree poses and will post a few more later.
Not too fussed with the cut top lioness as she's obscured by thick limbs with her back to me, and have many more with her all in frame, but liked the lower cub as she turned to gaze at the sunset. Interested to hear your views.
Hi Marc - Beautiful soft, sunset light and the cub clinging to the trunk takes this to another level. I don't mind the lioness at the top and if you cropped down slightly, the only evidence of her would be the stray foot. I do find the blobs, presumably lions, in the trees behind to be distracting and drawing the eye.
Marc, a splendid image with lots to like. The cute little cub making up the tree is so amazing. And you got it with good HA, the others also add so much. The light was lovely and the framing works. The OOF blobs are not ideal but not a deal breaker. Great work!
I thought the background blobs would be weaver nests (??) Great title, I wish the adult was a little lower in the frame but I suspect she is there for good reason - perhaps the boughs were overpowering/interfering. I really like the image.
Hi Marc -- Great to see you push that iso and what a frame. Loved the position of the cubs , the one climbing is priceless but the one staring is also a gem. Liked the colours here as well . Would definitely like to see a vertical frame . superbly done.
