Here's another high elevation species for you - the Shining Sunbeam. These guys frequent
High Andean Forest and Páramo, habitats that are very wet between April and November.
This July frame was a set-up shot captured inside shifting clouds at 11,000 feet in the Central
Andes outside Manizales. Unlike most hummers which are best shot from the front, the trick
with this species is to get the back to show the trademark green and purple.
