Hi Rachel, a lovely fun image showing what animal youngsters get up to, no matter what the type of animal. Well timed to capture the 'biting' moment, together with the open mouth of the aching cub. Your central comp works well.
8.00pm and still light - please remind me where you were shooting at dinner time.

Thanks Stu. In Lake Clark N.P. in Alaska you are allowed to be out viewing the bears between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Silver Salmon Creek Lodge schedules its meals so that you can go out before breakfast, between breakfast and lunch, between lunch and dinner and then again after dinner. Often the best light was after dinner.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Thanks Gabriela. I'm glad you like it. The one on the left's eyes are partially open. There's even a catchlight. The one on the right's eyes are open but one is shadow and the other is blocked by the nails of the paw.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Lovely to see the cubs again, Rachel. They do have tons of 'cute' about them and you've captured that nicely here with this rough play interaction. Interesting how the light doesn't look that directional even at 8pm! But either way there is minimal shadowing and it works well in this shot as the colour and tone look great. Detail is up to your usual high standard. TFS

Thanks Glenn - I was there in the week leading up to the summer solstice so in Alaska that means 20+ hours of daylight and the sun high in the sky for most of the time. The other 4 hours were dusk and dawn.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Rachel this is delightful, you really have captured a wonderful moment. Love the processing, my only reservation is that we seem to be looking down quite a bit, but I doubt there was little other option because of the height of the grasses.

Thanks Sanjeev, Jon and Haseeb. Jon, you are correct about the shooting angle. I had to avoid lots of distracting elements between me and the cubs.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Hi Rachel ...please fire more of the bears , i will not get bored . Especially nobody else is posting a lot of them ...
As always kids are fun to look at , and for sure all images do carry a high cuteness factor, and this is no exception. I do like the cuddling action and the expression on both faces, the one to the left almost falling over .
Lovely details in the fur and the overall color/ tone palette working nicely together , how stunning would it have been to get them in shorter grass and have a lower angle of shooting ....
You got some really nice stuff from SSCL .....keep posting .

Totally agree with Gabriela's assessment.
