Hello everyone, me and my partner will be taking a trip to South East Asia next spring and would like to take pictures of some of the large birds out there. I have a D90 with a couple lenses including a 300 and my partner has a 5DS with a 135, two 400's and a 600 so we have quite a bit to take with us. None of the cases that we use for transport in the car are very sturdy or even hard body so we need to get either a really big case or a case for each of us that we can put on the plane as luggage. We have already checked with the airlines and have clearance for special luggage meaning that we can have bigger than normal items.

What are some good options for us to look at? Pelican case keeps coming up when I search but they seem to be pretty generic and not really designed for cameras. Is that a big deal or are they the best cases like some of their ads claim? Also, if anyone can recommend some good smaller cases that we can carry with us when travelling around not on the plane as we don't want anything to get scratched or damaged during taxi rides or anything of that nature. Thank you all for your responses in advance :)

I took a trip to my favourite local camera shop and was talking with a nice young man in there about cases and he agreed that Pelican cases are the safest but unfortunately they did not have any. I went home and took to the internet where I found this site http://www.used.forsale/pelican-case where lots of people where selling there used Pelican cases that were already cut out to fit cameras into them. I managed to find someone who had a similar load out to me and bought the case, now just need to find another for my husband!
