I had some productive time with a Dunlin and three Black-bellied Plovers the other day. Overcast, and at some point heavy rain - which, while lying flat on the wet beach and in shallow water, made me wet all the way around. Oh well, lots of fun, plus I had the place to myself !
Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/500s., f/5.6, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, eye work (including enhancing the catchlight), punched up the blacks and saturation to bring the (properly) washed out image to life.
