beautiful flight image nice handling of the whites
A real beauty Alan. I like the banking pose, sharpness, exposure and composition. Welcome to BPN.
Excellent first post
I like the topside view in soft light and the water BG. A handsome bird with sharp details and an attractive HA. Normally I wouldn't shoot at ISO 250. You can easily push to MKIV to higher ISO and gain more shutter speed. Here you didn't need faster but in general it's a better approach

Welcome to the forum Alan this is a heck of a good start! The duck is in a super pose and the light is beautiful, the details are excellent, I am also looking forward to seeing more of your images.
Great clean detailed image Alan, exposure looks spot on and you did very well with that shutter speed.

Wow! Spectacular on all counts: SH, EXP, and a killer pose that provides an amazing view of the dorsal wing surfaces. Post more :) And welcome. artie
