Looks like mine is one of the affected serial numbers. That's a drag!

Yep, mine is going back too. I had some problems with AF when I was in Nome two weeks ago. Thought it was me, and some of it probably was.
Just dropped mine off to Canon so will have it back in 2 days, however if like mine yours needs to go back to Canon folks, remember to register at the bottom of the page that Rachel gave a link too, choose you country and then fill in the details!!! They like to track things.
Good luck
Steve

Mine in Monday....I knew all the early ones would go in.....mine was a July delivery....sure they will turn it around quickly via CPS....Glad they stepped up as opposed to having bad results in the field....
Just got camera back. Service sheet states...
Mirror Box modification. cleaned sensor to specification. Cleaned external covers and function buttons. Repaired faulty/damaged parts. LUBE HOOK.
----- Canon have added a Black mark to silver part in battery compartment as per pic on service notice
My camera arrived at the Canon facility this morning, they made the fixes and gave to Fedex hours later for overnight delivery in the morning....Appears they thought this recall through and organized themselves for fast response.
Steve this is a real simple fix where they have two options, mine was back the following day, last Friday thanks to Rachel on the 'heads up'.
