Theme Red Fox near the blue water
Hello,
My very first catch of a wildlife fox, taken at the north sea coast in february.
I was very pleased and here the fox is in front of a small creek a little bit hidden.
C+C Welcome
PS: Made with Nikon D500 and the 200-500VR, f/6.3 at 1/800sec, ISO 900 at 500mm;
handheld on the ground, a really good crop cam and lens i think.

I really like the image, it looks so natural, I think the narrow DOF works very well.

Dear Eric,
What strikes me most on opening this thumbnail is the stunning pose you captured from this beautiful fox - very well done!
Overall this works for me, although I would have been so pleased had you allowed for the virtual feet. I do like the vegetation as it helps the subject stand out. Sharpness is good, DOF is great, personally I would have upped the ISO a tad for more SS.
The blacks appear a bit choked ( see nose and ears ). Not familiar with the subject as such but the whites seem a bit dull to me - I could be wrong, so let us see what the others say
I would certainly revisit this image, I think it has great potential. And I look forward to more from you, thank you so much for sharing!
Kind regards,

Thank you all, and as often, you are right with your critic !!
Rachel.. the blue and cyan reducement was the right way and Gabriela:
You are also right, i should have left a little more room under the "virtual legs" . This was my fault, the image is a little bit cropped, so i cann do that !
THANK you Folks, your thoughts are really helpfull for me !!!
Sometimes i simply did not see such things..
Eric
I will try to use the wildlife section more.. but my favourite themes are BiF .
