Yeehawww Will, excellent, great action, love the lift off, curled foot and the great view of the head. Seas look choppy and these seabirds certainly work for their dinner. I especially like the bulge in the crop area... I have seen terns puff that area up as if they are adding more steam to their effort. Love this Will.

Whoaaaaa, I would love to shoot there. Maybe a red kite/Bass Rock kinda trip, throw in some ptarmigan! How long a boat ride from the mainland Will? A victory for the colony! Looking forward to more of your postings from this trip. TFS

Simply superb Will, the water adds so much more to this compared to the 'regular' gannet shots. Great pose

Amazing dynamic capture. The waves cooperated to frame the bird beautifully. Well done.

Thanks for the comments everyone, much appreciated.
Hi Ann, it's only 20 mins from the mainland.

This one screams action. Like the pose on the bird and the splashing water. Bird is nice and sharp.

Wasn't sure I was going to like the image from the thumb, but I am pleasantly mistaken! Focus on the bird's intense face is awesome, and the splash really heightens the action. I like that we can see the
yellow-green lines on the top of the feet! Looks like an incredible place to shoot.

Sharp with a killer take-off pose. You might wish to check and see if there is a reddish color cast.

There you go Artie, sorry about the delay but been busy. I reduced the reds slightly by moving the slider towards the cyan on colour balance.
