nice sharpness around the eye and good exposure. Was the background really this blue? In any event, it contrasts well with the subject.

The blacks and the whites both look good, and the details are nice, but that is quite a tight portrait of the goose. Did you take some with more neck showing, perhaps as a vertical?

I love clean, tight, and graphic. Great that you are working with the often overlooked common species. Lightening the BLUE just a bit might improve it.
