That's a wow from me. Could you explain where you focused, as I'd expect one to be less than sharp at f5.6. TFS
Hi Paul the focus was on the lower bird, I was lucky that the other bird was on the same focal plane, what you may not realize is the equivalent focal length of this shot is 1200mm (D500 is a crop body) so f/5.6 was enough to capture both of these small raptors sharp

Lovely .Perfect combination of colour .We don't have this version of Kite . Are they this spring's youngsters? Or older .
Beautiful. Great image, impeccable technique, reminds me of Japaneses master paintings.
Just about perfect, I would say luck and skill. I am surprised reading that you used a Nikon D500, I had previously thought you would not use a crop sensor camera. Your image shows the capability of the camera. What autofocus mode did you use? Thank you for sharing, Ari.

That is flipping awesome!! To get one bird in a pose like this is fantastic, especially with a nice BG, but to get two on the same focal plane is just flipping killer lucky!! Light angle is banging too!! I need to come up to see you for some kites and Harriers soon!! See ya

Amazing capture. Shows what a little luck in a master's hands can do.
What a frame!
Besides skill and luck, you have to be there, you have to put in the time
to get shots like this.
They don't just happen....

Arash you may as you say have been lucky but at the same time a certain amount of skill patience and dedication is required to produce such an outstanding image, this is magnificent, I take my hat off to you
Very nice. Love the dorsal view and that killer background. Detail looks great as well.
This is great, a perfect combination of skill and luck. I could see adding a few points of black, and there is a small spot in front of the lower bird's right wing. Hella minor though.....
