Hi John, I like the unique capture, reminds me of the African Gerenuk in it's approach to eating.
The IQ & Dynamic range would have been better with the 5D4, but you've done well, especially at 1/200. The face in shadow is not ideal with a 'sooty' look & feel, but you can address that, likewise I feel you have added some Vibrance giving that Yellow cast in part to the image. I also like the warm light hitting the subject in part.
Hard to do too much with a 256 colour sRGB file, but cleaning up the face, and the sooty look, then tweaking some of the colour I think helps the balance, albeit that this is not a final look, ONLY a directional thought.
Wonderful capture and I love the sweet light touching the subject. I also like the pose from the doe, alert and a little weary while reaching out for the fruit.
Composition works well. Nice touch from Steve in his RP, I too felt the face of the subject was a little dark and needed a little "lift".
This is very different from your previous doe images and the behavioural aspect makes it so attractive - I really enjoyed viewing, thank you for sharing!
Hi John - A very interesting behavioral image that also reminded me of the gerenuk. Great timing with the apple in the mouth but I do think you needed more ss. I like what Steve has done with his rp.
What a great capture I really like it. The image is just a little noisy but it is not objectionable.
My only reservation id the height of the image, I cannot see it in its entirety, I have to scroll.
