Hi folks ... a special moment for me , as i have never been that close to Cheetah baby´s before and after . So some kind of once in a lifetime moment ... plus mum had a kill right next to the road in KTP . I already posted a image where mum dragged the Springbok from the road to the other side of the Mata Mata riverbed .
Lighting was tough .... backlit in early afternoon light , for sure a nightmare .
I tried to get something out of it .

Looks good to me Andreas, colours look good (greens too!) details are excellent, the eyes are appealing. I wish I had a few spare images tucked away of this quality! No reservations from me - love it!
Very precious sighting. And indeed light was not great but your little cub looks good even tough he is in the shade. So you did 'get something out of it'
Such a special image. Framing is nice Boetie and I like the vegetation behind the subject, adds a little context.
Cannot think of anything I would change here, you seem to have added a bit of 'oomph' to the face and fur, works for me as it brings out those lovely features of the little one.
Was this image taken during our trip to The Kalahari? I do remember a cheetah with kill and some small cubs on the Mata Mata road, not sure what year it was.
This is a nice salvage in what looks like challenging lighting. So, well done on that front. Composition with cub staring off into distance - perhaps in search of a parent - works well and i think the detail on the fur looks good. Background is a bit busy, but the subject stands out nicely nonetheless. Well done.
