Eel grass is the main staple of a brant's diet and this fellow has found an easy feast washed ashore by the days SE storm. This was one of a group of birds strung out along the beach and I was surprised at how closely he let me bum-scoot up to him....not a joyful task on such a rocky beach.Canon 7DII, EF 100-400 f4.5-5.6 IS + 1.4x III, ISO 640, f/13, 1/640, HH
We often get a silly-tame Brant or two over here during the fall season, they are always fun to observe and photograph. Lovely habitat image, very nice. This one also has the same "noise reduction on the subject" feel to it though...try limiting that application to the BG and other smooth surroundings only, this way you will preserve details where they should be. Everything else looks good here.
