One of the nine egrets that landed close to me the other day. This one landed in the opposite direction than the others and this really lit up the wings with the morning light coming from the right.
Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2500s., f/7.1, ISO 400, natural light, handheld, cropped for composition, some highlight recovery on the wings.

Never expected to see so many quality egret images from Canada! (Not because of the photographers, but because of how rare they used to be in northern climes)
