    Default Spotted Hyena with kill

I was happy to witness this spectacle at the Masai Mara, where a flock of vultures were struggling for a share of the meat, the Hyena held them at bay for a long time. I was shooting form the roof hatch and we were facing forwards, hence could not get a lower angle. C & C welcome.

Love the composition and subject but seems a little washed out on my screen

Hi Sanjeev - great interaction and comp. Something seems to have gone amiss in the pp as the color of the grass looks a little off. Agree it needs some punch too.

Hi Sanjeev, colours look not washed out to me, but would ease off a little on the Blue & Blacks in relation to the objects, but can see some colour issue re the grass. Always difficult on a scene like this not to clip or cut subjects in half, also the angle is looking down too which again is not ideal. I would also again look to increase sharpening, perhaps push it a little further next time?

    Hi Sanjeev,
tried to operate on the colors, specially the grass no big difference in the greens.Reduced the blues in the shadows ,and reduced the blacks a tad.
I did that in LAB color space. WDYT ?

Hi Andreas, Yes the RP looks better with the reduction of blues and blacks! Some how the green turned out this way! I also shot simultaneously with two 7D's and 70 200 f/4 L IS and 100-400 L. This was with the 100-400 L. will check if the other lens did any better. Also I got wider shots with the 70-200 f/4 L IS. Will post is again.
Thank you David, Rachel, Steve and Andreas for your advice.
