Smoky Mountains Overlook

This is my first view of an overlook on the way to Cataloochee Valley. Spectacular views of misty mountains awaited me from this short trail. I used Nik filters including tonal constrast and sunshine filter as it was in deep shade early in the morning, and Topaz Simplify, and other tonal adjustments.

Very nice. VEry peaceful. I wonder if you tried cropping a little from the bottom so the lower log just meets the bottom of the frame. Seems it might encourage one's eye to go immediately to the clouds, mts and leaves, rather than pause at the road.

Thanks Douglas. I tried a browser crop as you suggested but I like it better as is although I'll see what others think.

Judy, it's a beautiful view. I like the Nik Sunshine filter and like what it did to the image. I believe I'd leave the crop the way it is - if you crop from the bottom you'll lose the ground the tree in rooted in and that nice little loop of green ferns (?) growing into the path.
