I just joined the forum so I wanted to say hi! I've been into photography for a number of years as an amateur. Early this year I became very interested in photographing birds. There was a lot of migration going on at that time in southern California. It's gotten a lot quieter recently, but there is still plenty to shoot. I have Canon equipment and when I started out with birds I quickly came upon Art Morris and his blog and old newsletters. I picked up the settings guide for the 7D. I learned a lot from him, he was one of my main online "mentors". Then I recently came upon this site and saw there were some more great learning opportunities here. There is some very high quality work on the site and I especially appreciate the helpful input that comes on the critique forums. Looking forward to working with everyone so we can all improve!
