    Default Common Moorhen in Habitat

I took this last year on Lake Toho, Florida from Air boat.Hand Held. BG is busy and I did my best to separate bird from BG as much as possible but not sure if I did enough.

    C&C welcome.

The BG is a bit distracting, if you could select it and at least tone it way down that would help. The bird looks excellent, good exp and detail. His legs are a little bright also. I would also try to bring out a little more of the eye.

    Hi Sachin,
These bird's are imposible to get a clean shot of. I think you did well. I agree with lightening up the eye as Jack says and I would tone down or remove the bright reed intersecting the beak. I would punch up the blacks a point or two as well,

I don't mind the habitat and BG at all. This is where some birds live!
i would like a looser crop though, it is pretty tight.
The bird looks great, nice exposure and detail.

Hi Sachin, good low angle, and although well exposed on the darker plumage, I agree with Gail to add back a touch of black on him. Your vertical works well, as I assume opening up on the right to form a horizontal, will just show up more busy BG. I would maybe clean up the eye a touch, as it seems a little 'glazy'
