Default Circle B Bar Reserve report

FYI if you are planning a visit. Jan 29 sunrise at the west pond had little activity. White pelicans absent, lots of tree swallows, a few juvenile wood storks, a few dozen whistling ducks, some teals, an American bittern. Some sandhills on the west (opposite) bank that flew off due south. Even the limpkins that usually hang out were elsewhere. A pretty place as always, but a slow day for bird photography on this particular date.

Thanks David, I was going to try a run over there this weekend, but I may put it off. I appreciate the update.

I was there on Sunday and was sadly disappointed. Didn't even see one White Pelican and almost no ducks compared to last year. Missed the American Bitterns altogether. Saw the otters but tough to photograph. Then I saw on FB that someone saw and photographed the bobcat with prey right after I left.
