Congratulations Marina on a well deserved Avian IOTW!!

Felt so lucky when this Bronzed Cowbird began displaying in the air, right in the same area, almost like a hummingbird. I had my camera pointed toward another bird when I saw this one jump off the ground and begin showing off, and I had to act fast. Would have liked more speed, but no time to change settings. It was amazing, and I like how he looks as though he is throwing a cape around his shoulder.

    F5.6, 1/1250sec, ISO 640, manual mode
Feisol tripod, Mongoose head, set up

C & C always welcomed and much appreciated.

The capped look as you point out is what puts it in the top of the heap! Nice colors too. Wish it were mine Marina. Well done.

This is one of my favorite images of the last year. It's absolutely spectacular. Well deserved IOTW indeed. Congrats, Marina!
