One more, I may never get a better photo of one in water again.
Hopefully I got the color balance right this time.
He turned and posed about as well as I could ask for.

Lovely image of one of my favorite birds, Dan. Gorgeous green water, lovely exposure and pose.
A tad tight on the left and looks a tad bright on my screen.
Very nice to get this guy in a clean setting. Lovely work.

must say now you are bang on on the all one want to see in bird image. superb light that emerald look on water HA sharpness ..

bit of room on left might not hurt and little bill cleaning of reducing sharp white highlight.

Sharp with excellent detail and awesome BG. Agree with adding some to the left and maybe a bit off the top. Would also tone down the whites a bit. Thank you for the kind words on my winning thread...

Ooooh....aahhhhh.....lovely. Just add a bit of canvas on the left and you have a wall hanger! Love it,

Yep, the pose and HA look pretty much spot on. Good low perspective, sharp, and the exposure looks ok from here. Another vote for more space on the left.

Superb capture, pose, and head angle. Needs a bit more room behind the bird; do you have any?

WHITEs in JPEG as high as 255.... Would suggest starting over and limiting RGB values to 236 or less before converting....

Repost addresses WHITE problems to some degree :).

Thanks everyone, I do like the repost you did Arthur.
Here is mine. A bit larger view with more on the left.
I really appreciate the feedback here.

ow that I look at both mine and Arthur's, I like the color better on yours, Arthur.
I changed the WB, which I hardly ever do from auto WB to "daylight", as I got some
    odd colors from this setting.
I redid my repost and did not duplicate the OP colors exactly.
This is why I don't like to change the WB from auto.

Much better on the COMP but you really need to start from scratch to do justice to the WHITEs and it could go a bit darker from where I am sitting
