    Combine Canon's 500mm F4 L and 10-22mm lenses and you get...

This starling came to visit me each time I sat at Marie se Gat in the Kgalagadi during May...Almost got into the vehicle once - We got to know each other rather intimately those couple of days!

Equipment: Canon 50D and 10-22mm lens at 22mm with a circular polarizer filter
    Settings: 1/800s at F5.6 and ISO 400, EV +1

Cool fun image Rudi, and amazing how the starling became accostomed to you in the vast open region. Excellent exposure and colour on the starling if you want us to critique the starling Tack sharp too.

A great perspective. Wish the lens was not in shade.

I really like this image Rudi. The starling looks pretty good despite the bright sun. I am glad you could get the 10-22 out and get this shot. It is always special when a wild animal can sense that you are not a threat and will approach quite close. Good Shot!

Nice fun image . On my trip , I saw a lot of superb starlings , but these ones ( long tailed ?) were hard to come by .
