    This is my backyard...I wish! In truth it is close, only a short distance away.
    I got a chance to a few HDR images last night with my visiting nephew.

    My goal was to maintain the mood and realism as seen by eye.

    1D Mark IV, 24-70
    Manual (LCD and histogram), 5 stop bracket, ISO 200
    Post-production- LR3, CS5, NIK HDR Effex Pro

    Beautiful image Chas. The comp and the colors are awesome. I can see 60 miles from here!? This would make a great credit card for Visa, Matercard or one of those companies. By the way I think that "This is my backyard" would make an interesting theme of the month.

    Hi Chas, I like your choice of composition showing a diagonal line with the tree as it's anchor as a foreground element. The layered mountains on the left create alot of interest and is well handled technically.
    I feel you succeeded in obtaining the realism you desired. The lone tree top on the left is bothering me a bit but all in all well handled...
