    Default Tiny Marsh Sunrise

While at Tiny Marsh Provincial Wildlife Area last weekend I had a rather lack-luster sunrise so I spent more time shooting frogs, muskrats and waterbug blurs too. Here is a shot of the sunrise just as the sun rose above the wetland. No clouds in the sky so I kept the sky to a minimum. I kinda liked the rays of the sun as it was rising. Thought I would share it.

Andrew - I like this one. There's a tranquility to it, pleasing colors, still waters and nice sunburst.

    Andrew,

My favorite part of the image is the sweeping grass backlite in the water. In order to better enhance that, I feel a crop from the bottom was needed. Instead of trying to explain where, I posted a re-cropped version.

The colors are very pleasing and the sun "star" adds to the composition. I agree with Robert - his crop that really brings out the grasses.

I really like the image; the yellows are outstanding. The RP is preferred.

Andrew, nothing lack-luster about it...a beautiful image, and I like the repost even more. Robert is right on..the back-lit, curved grasses silhouetted in the foreground make the image. I really like this.

Hi Andrew, nice job on this! Well handled technically with all the compositional elements nicely placed. Agree that Robert's repost strengthens the image using the pads to frame the bottom which accentuates the grasses. Good one!

    Hey Andrew,
Great job minimizing the sky and everything is well placed comp wise.....I do prefer the crop by Robert.....although perhaps a hair lower. Nicely done overall!

Thanks very much for the comments folks. Much appreciated! I have cropped the image as per Robert's repost. I was going to, but wasn't sure so posted it as is and everyone confirms my initial thought to crop some off the bottom. Thanks again!
